Excellence from the university student Perspective.

Higher education has a decisive impact on the development of countries and also on the increase of the quality of life of its population. The present research allowed to know through nine dimensions how higher education students value and assess teaching excellence in the 21st Century, pointing towards to the reflection and discussion on the formation and the evaluation of the teaching staff from the perspective of the student. Some qualities of teaching excellence were investigated and analyzed from a new perspective; which, along research, criticism and participation, allowed to make valid criteria for knowledge construction and the induction towards scientific research. The article examined, from the academic sphere and the Socioeconomic Observatory of the UPEC Frontier, this problem through the methodological use of bibliographical, descriptive and field scientific research, asking questions; among them: what does a teacher of excellence for university students look like? What are the qualities, competencies and attitudes required to be valued as a teacher of excellence for the student? Education transforms and Research constituted the path of knowledge, it describes how and what making the message clear, and the teacher uses his knowledge applying the techniques of oral, corporal and attitudinal expression, and strengthens university teaching with the attributes like being dynamic, patient, flexible and rigorous along with the objectives established in the educational planning.
